What can really be done to cure hemorrhoids?

I have had hemorrhoids for about 3 years. I do not have insurance so I have never been to the doctor but have used the Preparation H gel and suppositories. The gel doesn’t seem to really help and while the suppositories do help I really don’t like using them. If I did go to the doctor is there like a prescription I could get that would take care of it or at least cure the symptoms?

And would I just go to a regular doctor or what? I appreciate any and all help.

yes go to a regular doc, if there’s nothing they can do they will send you to someone who can help. they do have more advanced new cures now, they can shrink hemorrhoids by injecting them with a certain substance or even by shining an ifra red light on them, causing them to shrink back into their original position. they can give you stool softners to stop things getting any worse if your stools are irriating your hemorrhoids etc, doctors usually have better cures than over the counter stuff – otherwise there’d be no need for them. hope you’re able to get it sorted!

Short Term Medical Plans
This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you’re no longer covered under your parents’ medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you’re employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. How are you, Gamer1612

I’ve been in the same boat as you and wanted to help.

When it comes to natural cures for hemorrhoids, there are a bunch of options.

A variety of herbs can be used to treat hemorrhoids. One is called horse chestnut, and another is butcher’s broom. Both are especially helpful because they will strengthen vessel walls and decrease inflammation. Butcher’s broom is also believed to have vein-constricting properties that will increase the tone of the vessel walls. Each of these herbs is available in capsule form and can also be ingested as a tea. And horse chestnut can be applied to a compress and placed directly on the area.

The astringent witch hazel, which you can find in a drug store in both liquid and ointment form, can also be applied directly to the affected area. It will help relieve swelling and itching but is only for external use. It’s purpose is to help stop any residual bleeding that happens in the area.

Plant compounds called bioflavonoid are also helpful. They are derived from citrus fruits and seem to help by strengthening loose vessel walls of the area.

I hope one of these methods works for you!
