Natural Cure for Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids can be treated using different ways. There are commercially available drugs such as creams, stool softeners and suppositories. Natural cure for hemorrhoids using herbs and plants are also available in various health food stores. Let us explore the different herbs and plants that we can use for treatment.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is an astringent that aids in healing open wounds, reduce inflammation and boost healing. It is best to use the aloe vera gel that came directly from the plant, apply it directly to the rectal area. You can also use a 100% organic whole leaf aloe gel which is available for purchase at health food stores.
You can also drink 2 ounces of aloe vera juice after every meal. It can prevent constipation by softening the stools.If you are not used to drinking it, add around 1/4 or 1/3 part of aloe vera juice to a cup of apple juice, this will make the taste easier to handle.
Bilberry
This herbal plant contains flavonoid pigments known as anthocyanins and they are strong antioxidants. As an antioxidant, it reduces further damage of your blood vessels and connective tissues. Bilberry’s extract will make blood flow easier throughout the body which in return will reduce hemorrhoid symptoms. Available in tea form, drink a cup of bilberry tea twice daily for about three to four weeks.
Comfrey
Comfrey root contains plenty of allantoin which is a healing agent that stimulates healthy formation of tissue. It will shrink the hemorrhoids with regular use.
Comfrey root powder is the best form to use. Mix this powder with some herbal oils to make a paste then use it directly to the rectal area.
Witch Hazel
Witch hazel is also an astringent which makes it similar to aloe vera. It’s pretty effective in healing bleeding hemorrhoids.
Buy them in liquid form then pour it on cotton balls or small cloth. Wipe the affected area with the cotton balls for fast relief. Using the small cloth, apply this on the rectal area and leave it overnight. Doing this regularly will eventually shrink the hemorrhoids.
Butcher’s Broom
A recent study concluded that butcher’s broom can be used to treat hemorrhoids in it’s early stages. It helps improve the circulation of blood and make the blood vessels stronger. You can take them orally in capsule forms or apply it directly to the hemorrhoids in it’s ointment or suppository form.
Natural cure for hemorrhoids are available in the form of medicinal herbs and plants. The most commonly used are the astringents like aloe vera and witch hazel. You can either apply them orally or topically depending on kind of remedy you choose to take.
