External hemorrhoids can be very painful, and to need a bowel movement makes it worse. Magnesium Citrate is basically used to clean your colon before a colonoscopy. This chemical has to move through your digestive tract before it works. If you have not yet tried mineral-oil enemas or laxatives, they may help to get you started. Your bowels are so hard, maybe a one or two mineral-oil enemas may give you a partial bowel movement to relieve the pressure. A good and safe laxative, Dulcolax, 5- mg, may bring you loose bowels so you can have another bowel movement. The Dulcolax requires about 5 to 6 hours to work. The Duclolax tablets are tiny, so I take three and drink a glass of liquid, whether water, cola, juice. Dulcolax is also available in liquid gelcaps. Hemorrhoids under pressure can bleed, and blood can appear on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. Switch to moist, flushable wipes to put less drag on your hemorrhoids whether for cleaning or for a bowel movement. There is no use mentioning things you should have done. You need immediate relief. If the mineral-oil enemas and laxative do not help induce some bowel movements, there is an emergency method I tried on myself that worked for me. It sounds repulsive, and you may not want to try it on yourself. This is only a suggestion. What I did was to buy 2 mineral-oil enemas, a regular enema, and a small bottle of mineral oil. You will need a pair or two of disposable gloves. Since you have external hemorrhoids, the procedure may be a little more painful. After trying one or two mineral-oil enemas, your rectum and colon should be lubricated with some mineral oil from the enemas, if not, pour some the mineral oil from the small bottle into the empty enema bottle and use it again. With the disposable glove on, reach behind your butt and insert two oiled fingers into your rectum. As you press down on your stomach muscles and move the hard bowel forward, grasp a hard bowel if it is there with your fingers and begin crushing the hard bowel into smaller pieces. Some bowel should come out so you can repeat the process over and over. This procedure work twice for me, and I hope it works for you.

In the meantime, there is an excellent federal website that lists, describes, offers symptoms of digestive disorders from A to Z. You can read about hemorrhoids, constipation, recommendations, etc., so you can learn why you have digestive problems. Strong pushing on dry bowels can force the bowel from your rectum, and can cut your anal ring. Go to http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov and click on digestive disorders from A to Z. I hope you find relief soon.
