Is it common to have a hemorrhoid at 14?
I am 14 years old and i believe that i have a hemorrhoid. I have had an itch there for about 2 weeks and it has just recently became painful. I have tried washing thoroughly but the itch remains. Today, i did look and i saw what looked exactly like a hemorrhoid. About 2 weeks ago i did have diarrhea so I am 99% sure that is what it is. I don’t really want to tell my parents or go see the doctor. Can someone help me out?

Hemorrhoids are not common in 14 year olds unless you strain a lot on the toilet or have hard constipated stools. Since you think you have one you really don’t need to do anything for it. Just leave it alone. Just make sure you keep your stools soft and don’t strain on the toilet or you might get more. Hemorroids are essentially varicose veins of the rectum.
I suppose it’s possible but i have never heard of it.
You can go to the chemist and buy a special cream to treat them and there is wet wipes especially for that problem. Just tell the phaarmacist you are buying them for your mum as she’s to embarrassed to buy them herself???
First response is sound. If you can see swelling, a hemorrhoid is likely. A hemorrhoid arises because of a blood clot in one of the hemorrhoid veins. Try taking aspirin in the maximum dosage recommended on the bottle; aspirin is known to reduce the tendency of blood to clot, and it may accelerate reduction of the swelling. If all else fails, go see a doctor, who can open up the vein with a scalpel and remove the clot.
do to the diarrhea, you have disturbed the lining of the rectum.this can be very painful.you could have what is called a fisher. is there signs of blood in your stool. if so then please tell your parents i know sometimes this can be hard but you dont want to end up like me. i am what they call a bathroom sitter. when you set for a long peidiod of time on the bathroom seat, causeing the recutum pressure to protrude. they do have over the counter creams to help the itching and sooth the pain. and if you like to read in the bathroom set on a chair not the pot. good luck

See your doctor about having it removed.
Also, eat more insoluble fiber. It will help in Many ways, and will help your bowels.
