It’s difficult to say. First of all, the rectum terminates before the anal canal, so unless you’ve had the lump examined by a doctor, it wouldn’t show up on the outside. If it’s an internal hemorrhoid that has prolapsed outside the anus, you would be able to see it, but typically it would be larger than an orange seed. External hemorrhoids typically show up just at the anus and form either just inside or outside the anal verge (the area surrounding the anus). They can change size, depending on how inflamed they are or whether they have become thrombosed. Thrombosis is simply when a blood clot has formed in the lump, leading to a tight, painful, typically bluish or purplish lump.
External hemorrhoids can be quite painful since they form in an area serviced by pain receptive nerves. When you have a bowel movement it can pull on these protrusions, causing the pain nerves to fire off.
Varemoid belongs to a class of bioflavonoids, which work to strengthen vein walls and reduce inflammation. Another similar commercial product is Pycnogenol. Either way, they shouldn’t cause increased pain since they reduce inflammation. Bioflavonoids are found in many citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, and limes as well as cherries and plums.
When combining over the counter drugs, you should exercise caution. The ones designed for symptom relief can contain a combination of vasoconstrictors and either analgesics or anesthetics. The vasoconstrictor can cause issues with individuals with specific medical conditions. Keep in mind that these over the counter medications as well as herbal compounds are all similar in the sense that they can interact and interfere in unpredictable ways. It is always best to consult a pharmacist or doctor before starting two different remedies simultaneously.
Good luck!
