So you would like to get rid of hemorrhoids, I don’t blame you, they are the most painful, annoying, inconvenient little things ever. For anyone who has ever suffered from the pain and inconvenience of them, I understand your desire to get rid of hemorrhoids. Those blessed with never having suffered from hemorrhoids simply cannot understand.

Even though they don’t cure hemorrhoids, they do offer some benefits. In my own experience suppositories are better than the ointment, even for hemorrhoids that are external. You probably also have internal hemorrhoids too, and these will need to be treated as well, to get the relief you need. These methods are very easy, though unpleasant; just go to the drug store and you are ready.

However, there were some unintended side effects including elevated blood pressure, that made me discontinue those remedies and search for other options. Often when people resort to a chemical treatment for a medical condition there are other consequences. Also, it did not cure the hemorrhoids, it just took away the discomfort for a while. Also, you can’t even use it when your hemorrhoids are actually bleeding.

The other option is undergo surgery to remove your hemorrhoids.

This was my physician’s recommendation, though I elected not to do it. After having the surgery, my father experienced excruciating pain for several days. This is how he described the pain he felt: “Like hooks tearing into my butt”. Knowing what happened to him, I did everything I could to avoid having surgery, and you should too. It is not the only option.

On the disadvantages its quite a bit of work researching which of the natural hemorrhoid treatments work and which ones don’t. My advice is don’t believe everything you read, stick to good sources of information and double check everything.
